SmartProfile is MedTrans’ technology that enhances a member’s profile each time he or she touches the system through the web or by phone. With each interaction, we learn and record more information about a member’s individual needs and use this data to electronically match his or her profile to the capabilities of the transportation providers who serve them. This detailed information about the member is shared back with the health plan so that the plan can keep track of their members and focus on serving clinical needs versus tracking down this information themselves. SmartProfile knows in which plan the member is enrolled, the trip benefit limit for each member, how many trips each member has used, which destinations are approved, and each member’s detailed trip history. It can flag special needs or key cultural and sensitivity preferences that are vital to successful trips and happy members. Even data like gate access codes are captured to ensure a successful connection between the member and the driver.
